Robert L. Secrest, President (CEO)
 A fourth generation foundation specialist, Robert "Luke" Secrest co-founded Advanced Foundation Solutions, LLC "The Basement Guys™" in 2000. With almost 15 years of construction experience and five years of management expertise, Luke has been the driving force in the company's growth.
As President and CEO, Luke concentrates on the advertising, marketing, installation and innovation of the company and future projects. Most recently, the company developed the most advanced basement finishing system on the market, 'The Basement Tuxedo'.
Luke holds city of Columbus General Contractor, General Home Improvement Contractor, Home Improvement Contractor-Limited-Basement Waterproofing and Demolition Contractor licenses, as well as city of Toledo home improvement and remodeling contractor's license. He also is certified in Analysis/Installation with leading manufacturers.
The company is a member of the National Association of Waterproofing and Structural Repair Contractors, (NAWSRC). Luke serves as Vice President on the board of directors and chairs the membership committee for this trade organization which provides consumers with nationally accredited contractors. Luke received National recognition in 2006 by becoming certified as a waterproofing specialist through the NAWSRC.
Luke was awarded the 2005 District Small Business Person of the Year from the United States Small Business Administration. Luke and The Basement Guys were also listed on the 40 under 40 list and the Fast 50 list with Business First of Central Ohio in 2005.
Doug Secrest, Vice President
Doug is nearly a ten year veteran of the basement waterproofing and foundation repair industry. Doug transitioned smoothly into the role of installation manager and co-owner of The Basement Guys in 2002.
Prior to joining the company, the fourth-generation foundation specialist perfected his trade while working for other companies in the industry and
attended a vocational school where he learned all aspects of construction. Doug also served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve as a Military
Police Officer, a testament to his work ethic.
Doug received National recognition in 2005 by becoming certified as a waterproofing specialist through the NAWSRC (National Association of
Waterproofing and Structural Repair Contractors) and is currently involved in certification training for the waterproofing industry. He also holds
a City of Columbus general contracting license. Doug has completed extensive training and certification in various aspects of waterproofing and foundation repair by well known companies such as Fortress Stabilization Systems Inc, and Grip Tite.
Doug oversees many duties at The Basement Guys including installation, production, quality control, and development growth.
Bob Secrest, Excavation Manager
As a third generation foundation specialist with over 30 years excavation experience, Bob is well known and respected in the industry.
Bob has experienced every excavating aspect of foundation work, from site preparation to digging the foundation to the installation of a new foundation. Bob has completed some of the most difficult repairs in foundation work. Bob also has many years of sewer, gas and water line installation in both residential and running the main lines. He also holds a sewer tapping license with the City of Columbus along with being certified for gas line installation.
Bob is also a certified carbon fiber installer through Fortress.
Andrew Rehner, General Manager -- The Basement Guys of Toledo
In the waterproofing industry for over a decade, Andrew co-founded the Basement Guys with President Robert Luke Secrest.
Rehner has been involved in all aspects of the waterproofing business including hands on production and installation, sales, sales training,
marketing and product development.
Andrew received National recognition in 2004 by becoming certified as a waterproofing specialist through the N.A.W.S.R.C.[National Association of
Waterproofing and Structural Repair Contractors] and is currently involved in certification training for the waterproofing industry. He has been certified through Fortress as a certified carbon fiber installer and has become an authorized piering and foundation specialist through Griptite. Finally, Andrew holds a certification to install The Basement Tuxedo, the most advanced basement finishing system on the market, in the Toledo area
Josh Price, Production Manager - Toledo
 Josh is a graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School and attended Columbus State Community College. He has been with
the Basement Guys since 2000. Josh started out as a laborer and installer and worked his way up to foreman, supervisor, and ultimately to his current position as production manager in the Toledo office. The experience he has received from being involved in the different tiers of production has given
him unsurpassed knowledge in all aspects of basement waterproofing and foundation repair. Josh is certified as a waterproofing specialist through the
NAWSRC as well as a certified Fortress carbon fiber installer, and an authorized piering and foundation specialist through Griptite. Josh's
responsibilities now include monitoring staff performance at job sites, managing project completion deadlines, and insuring customer satisfaction
throughout a project.

WHAT CERTIFICATION MEANS TO THE CONSUMER
NAWSRC Certified Specialists are recognized as members of the industry who have demonstrated superior knowledge and
dedication to the ideals of the association. They demonstrate to customers their commitment to the best in technical skills and devotion to the highest
ethical standards. NAWSRC offers two certifications. Members can become:
- a Certified Waterproofing Specialist (CWS)
- a Structural Repair Specialist (CSRS)
It is not easy be become certified. To qualify, they must have been a member of the waterproofing industry for at
least four years and their company must have been a member of NAWSRC for at least one year. They must demonstrate high industry standards and dedication
to continuing their professional education. After qualifying, they are tested in various technical areas including safety and ethics. Their obligation to
the ideals of the program does not stop with achieving certification. To maintain their certification, they must obtain 15 hours of continuing professional
education every two years. Certification examinations are given during the Annual Convention and Mid-Year Meeting only. Certified Specialists are
'A Cut Above the Rest!' They are the only waterproofing professionals who are required to:
- Pass a rigorous exam
- Continue education
- Uphold ethics
